WHAT GOES WITH IRISH STEW

A Soup as a Starter.

A Main Course with Irish Stew and White Rice as a side-dish.

A Chocolate Mousse for Dessert

A Soup to go with the Irish Stew is the perfect starter for this winter meal. It can be made on the day or can be frozen and reheated.

The Irish Stew turns a cheap cut of meat into a melt in the mouth dish. It can be made on the day, bear in mind that it takes more than 2 hours to make it. A better option would be to make it when you have time, and freeze it. Defrost it in the morning and warm it up before eating.

The Plain Rice is not strictly necessary as the Stew could be an all in one pot as it had also potatoes, but the gravy is so delicious that a plain rice would absorb it and make it even better. The rice so simple to make that you could pop in the kitchen for few minutes to make it.

The Chocolate Mousse is light and fluffy and can be made a day before.

This menu is perfect for a winter evening. if you want to relax and enjoy the evening. You could even replace the rice with fresh crusty bread to soak the gravy from the stew.
