Chicken Tetrazzini is a more elaborated version of the great Mac and Cheese. It has chicken and mushroom added to it which makes it a more all in one dish.
It is easy to prepare and very useful to just pop it in the oven for half hour before serving it.

Like most pasta dish, the Chicken Tetrazzini is mostly served as a dinner with friends or family. May be it is the image of the happy Italian family that jumps in ones mind when one think of pasta? Because of this association, one tend to serve it as a casual get together. So yes it can be part of a Dinner Party but with friends and family.

A lot depend on how much time and how casual you want your dinner party to be.
You could skip a starter all together as in Menu 1 and serve a salad with the Chicken Tetrazzini and an easy dessert of fresh fruit in season.
You could make it a more complete casual dinner by serving a starter with a salad that can be served also with the main course and a more sophisticated dessert as the one in Menu 2.

This must be one of the most casual of all the menu, simple, easy and can be prepared in advance.

The Chicken Tetrazzini is an all in one dish does not need much more than a salad as a side-dish.
A dessert of fresh Fruit in season is a healthy and simple way to end this meal.

You may want to serve the Orange with Marsala for a more sophisticated Dessert.
MENU 2
You may want to add a starter of a Crustless Quiche and a Colourful Salad and replace the Fruit in Season with Orange with Honey and Cinnamon
The Crustless Quiche is a healthy starter for the Chicken Tetrazzini, it can be made in advance and freezed. The Colourful Salad is a great side dish for the Quiche and the main course.
The Orange Dessert is very easy and quick to make.
This Menu requires some planning but would be great to share with your friends.
