MUSHROOM AND ONION PIZZA TOPPING

Topping for 1 ready made pizza base. Double up for a Rectangular Pizza Dough

Mushroom and Onion Pizza

250g (8oz) mozzarella cheese, thinly sliced

2 large onions sliced

3 tbs sunflower oil

250g (8oz) sliced mushrooms

2 cloves garlic, chopped

2 tsp chopped fresh rosemary

1 tsp fresh parsley

salt and freshly ground black pepper

  • In a large pan, saute onions in 2 tbs oil over medium heat until onions are soft and coloured.

  • In the same pan, add the mushrooms, remaining oil, the garlic, salt and pepper and rosemary. Cook over medium heat until mushrooms are tender; drain well.

Assembling the Pizza

Arrange cheese slices on top of the pizza base

Spoon mushroom mixture over cheese.

Baking

Follow direction of packaging for the ready made pizza base.

  • When pizza is out of the oven, sprinkle with parsley.
