TUNA SALAD

A great salad for unexpected guess as one has usually the ingredients at hand in the pantry and fridge.

Serves 6

Tuna Salad

1 can tuna chunk in oil - 400 g (14 oz)
1 lettuce chopped

1 onion chopped

2 tomatoes sliced and cut in small pieces

2 small pickled cucumber. sliced

4 tbsp mayonnaise

1 tsp English mustard

Salt and freshly ground black pepper

Lemon juice

  • Place the lettuce in a salad bowl. â€‹

  • Strain the Tuna, place in a bowl and mash with a folk, not too smooth.

  • Add the finely chopped onion, tomatoes and gherkin and mix.

  • Place the Tuna and the vegetables on top of the lettuce.

  • Mix the mayonnaise with the mustard and lemon juice and mix with the salad.

  • Season to taste with salt, pepper.

Serving Suggestions

You could add whatever is at hand, avocado, olives, or chopped peppers.
