BRUSCHETTAS

Bruschettas are very easy and simple starters. It's basically oven toasted bread with different toppings.

Bruschettas

1 Baguette (or any bread you prefer)

1/4 cup olive oil

2 cloves garlic

  • Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F)

  • Cut the Baguette in slices,

  • Add garlic to the oil in a pot and simmer for 5 - 10 min, just enough to infuse the oil with the garlic. 

  • Cool the oil, remove the garlic cloves.

  • Spread the oil on to the bread slices and place in oven, oiled side up for 5 min, till crispy but not hard.

  • Turn the slices and toast on the other side.

  • Decorate your Bruschettas on the oiled side and serve.

TIPS

Check the Dips and Pâté page as any of them can be also used as topping decorate with contrasting ingredients.

* Anything goes, check your fridge or cupboard and you may have already a whole range of topping for your Bruschettas. Decorate also with what's on hand, sliced tomatoes, pickled cucumber, olives. Let your imagination run wild.
