QUINOA

QUINOA

1 cup quinoa

2 cup water

  • Rince quinoa under running water, mixing with your hands to remove all the saponins which gives it a bitter taste.

  • Put the rinsed quinoa in a large frying pan over medium heat to toast it. Shake from time to time so as to brown all the grains.

  • Cook, shaking the pan for around 15 minutes or until the quinoa is golden brown.

  • Add boiling water to the pan, boil all together. When all is boiling reduce heat, cover and simmer for +-15 minutes.

  • Remove from heat and fluff with a fork.

Serving Suggestions

One can add chopped vegetables, to add flavour if you serving it with a plain dish.

Can be used cold as a salad.
