POACHED PEACHES IN WHITE WINE
When canning reached its peak, tin peaches and cream was one of the most popular dessert. It must have been a worship of the era as poaching peaches in your kitchen is definitely more tasty and quite easy. So lets give to the Peaches and Cream the respect it deserves.

2 cups of dry white wine
3 tbs sugar
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tbs lemon juice
6 cling peaches

Pour boiling water over the peaches to loosen the skin, remove from the water let them cool and than peel the skin off.

In a large pot, pour wine, sugar, vanilla essence, cinnamon and lemon juice and drop the peaches into it. Boil uncovered, till peaches are soft but still keeping their shape.

Place peaches with syrup in the fridge till ready to serve.

Serve peaches with syrup with a separate bowl of whipped cream or yogurt.
