PENNE WITH MUSHROOM 

WHAT TO SERVE WITH  PENNE WITH MUSHROOM

Loved by vegetarians and non vegetarians, this simple dish is a winner.

PENNE AND MUSHROOMS

500 g (1 lb) penne

500 g (1 lb) brown mushrooms

3 garlic cloves (if small 5)

150 g (5 oz) butter

1 tbs sunflower oil

Salt and Black pepper

Grated Parmesan

  

  • Boil water for the Penne in a big pot. Add oil and kosher salt. When water is boiling add the Penne and mix, reduce the heat.

  • In a pan, melt the butter.

  • Chop the mushrooms. As soon as butter is melted, add the mushrooms, press the garlic and add to the mushrooms. Add salt and black pepper. Stir and cover. Reduce heat and let mushrooms release their juice.

  • When Penne are ready, drain the water, and mix the mushrooms with the Penne.

  • Transfer into a heated serving dish.

  • Have some grated parmesan at the table to sprinkle on.

TIPS 

* Can be prepared in advance and just warmed up before serving.

Cover the dish tightly with foil or tight cover. Place in pre heated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 20 min
