PEAS WITH ONIONS
Long gone the days that one would shell the peas from the pods, some recipes even used the flesh of the pod, separating the flesh and the dry skin, and adding the flesh to the peas. A delicate operation that was passed from generation to generations.
Here is a recipe from those days gone by, using a can of fresh peas and recreating this simple recipe.

1 can - 400 g (14 oz) fresh peas - not the processed ones
1 onion chopped.
2 tbs sunflower oil
salt

-
Take a saucepan and pour oil in it, place on a medium high heat and fry the onions.
-
When onions are brown add the drained peas and warm them up.
-
Add salt to taste.
-
Serve immediately.
-
Can be prepared and warmed up just before serving, just add a little bit of water so as not to burn them.
