MICROWAVE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE

An amazing approach to out of the box cooking. Cake should be cooked in a conventional oven... see it rise slowly, with the aroma spreading all over the house....?

Not realy, just experiment with this Microwave Cake and be surprised by the result.

MICROWAVE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE

1 cup self raising flour

2 tbs Cocoa, plus extra to dust

Pinch of salt

3 tbs demerara sugar

2 egg

4 tbs milk

4 tbs melted butter

1 tsp vanilla extract

  • Sift flour, cocoa powder and salt into a small bowl, stir through the sugar

  • In a separate small bowl, whisk the egg, milk, butter and vanilla.

  • Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir with a fork until just combined.

  • Spoon mixture into 4 mug.

  • Microwave on high for 70 to 90 seconds or until pudding has risen and top is just set.

  • Do not overcook.

  • Dust with extra cocoa powder.

  • Serve immediately

 

TIPS

* can also be baked in a conventional oven (for enamel cups) Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 15min
